Selling

If you are a customer of Weir Quay Boatyard and are thinking of selling your boat, we can offer you a very special service. We will advise you on the best way of selling, the different ways of advertising, market prices and how best to present your boat.

If you decide to sell through our brokerage services, then we will work with you to draw up sales particulars, an inventory and a description. You know your boat better than anyone and to help us sell effectively we want to know its strengths and weaknesses and its unique history.

The description will focus on the particular strengths and features of the class or design and highlight the special attributes of your boat. We will not hide known defects or limitations but will seek to explain them in ways which build confidence and ensures that we find the right purchaser.

Nearly all boat sales today derive information from the internet at some point in the process. We place great importance on our web site to attract purchasers and also to present more complete information and photographs.

We work closely with Paul Drinkwater of Network Yachtbrokers of Plymouth. We rely on Paul’s many years of professional yacht broking experience and his knowledge and expertise. Invariably Paul will personally inspect each boat offered for sale at Weir Quay and advise on price.

Through Network the particulars of your boat will be made available to the 12 separate brokerage offices in the south of England, on the Network website and, in turn, on the leading boat selling websites in the UK.
