 1987 Founded Cotswold-based Heard Design Partnership with Eve Heard to specialise in illustration for books and magazines 

 1993 Relocated to Tavistock adding regional clients – DML, Plymouth City Council, Business Link Devon among others

 1995 Awarded Fellowship of Royal Society of Arts (FRSA)

 2001 Founded Faraway Island Giclée to produce own artwork and to provide service to artistic community in the region.

 2002 Produced first book, Classic Boats of the West Country for Bossiney Books, Launceston. 

 2008 Classic Boats of the West Country – second edition  Ports & Harbours of Cornwall – Bossiney Press
