Terms and Conditions

Weir Quay Boatyard offers boats for sale under the Standard Terms and Conditions for Brokerage produced by the British Marine Federation.

Commission is charged as a percentage of the sale price plus VAT.

In the event that a boat sells without the participation of Network Yachtbrokers, that commission will be 4%. All trade and retail advertising, which will be separately agreed, will be charged at cost. There is a minimum brokerage fee of £425.

If a boat is listed with us and subsequently sells without our involvement there is a fee of £200.

If a boat is listed with us and the owner finds a buyer but we are involved in selling or administration there is a brokerage fee of 2% (minimum £200).

There is a Yard fee for selling a boat from the Yard or WQB moorings, without our direct involvement, of 1% (minimum £100).

If the boat sells with the involvement of Network Yachtbrokers, a commission will be negotiated and this will generally be between 6% and 8%, depending on the value of the boat and market conditions. This commission will include the brokerage fee to WQB. All advertising costs are included within the commission. There is a minimum brokerage fee of £850.

All prices exclude VAT.
